An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s leading commercial sets of chambers as an Assistant Practice Manager.
Working alongside an experienced Practice Management team, you will play a key role in managing and developing the practices of a designated team of barristers. Responsibilities will include diary and practice management, fee negotiation, client liaison, case administration, business development support and marketing initiatives. You will build strong relationships with solicitors and professional clients, contribute to the strategic development of barristers’ practices, and work collaboratively with colleagues across clerking, fees and marketing to deliver an exceptional client service. Applications are encouraged from candidates that have at least 5 years’ experience working within a barristers’ chambers, ideally within a clerking or practice management function, and possess a strong understanding of practice management, court procedures and the administration of barristers’ practices. You will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing competing priorities in a busy environment. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, together with the ability to negotiate effectively, work proactively and build credibility with barristers, solicitors and clients at all levels. Experience of supporting business development and marketing activities, alongside a proactive and solutions-focused approach, will be highly advantageous.
