Practice Manager

Newly Established London Chambers
An established dual-qualified barrister, called to both the Scottish Bar and the English Bar, is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Practice Manager to support and develop a specialist practice based in Middle Temple.
Working directly with the barrister, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice, including diary management, fee negotiation, billing, client relationship management and business development. Acting as the principal point of contact for solicitors and professional clients, you will play a pivotal role in growing instructions across a diverse practice. This is a rare opportunity to join at an exciting stage, with the ambition to expand into a multi-barrister chambers, offering genuine long-term progression and the chance to play a key role in shaping its future.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute, highly organised and confident managing a busy and varied practice with minimal supervision. You will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, be proactive in identifying opportunities to generate new work, and enjoy developing strong relationships with solicitors and professional clients. Previous experience within barristers’ chambers, legal practice management or a clerking role would be advantageous, although candidates with transferable business development, client management or legal operations experience will also be considered. This position would suit an entrepreneurial individual who is excited by the prospect of helping to build and develop a successful legal practice and, ultimately, a growing chambers.
